Davis & Company began operations in 1976 two blocks off the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. Since then the firm has expanded to Washington, D.C. where about 75% of our business is based. As a result of our Washington office, the agency has become a major player in marketing, advertising and public relations with many programs that have national impact.

The map below provides one indication of the agency's national influence. The map indicates markets in which the agency has recently made media buys and includes more than 84 markets from coast to coast including most major markets. Additionally the agency places ads in national media such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and many national trade publications. The agency's campaigns have been covered by all major TV networks, wire services and news weeklies.

At the base of our Washington operations is a trade association practice. That business is supplemented by a large core business of issue advocacy and national legislative and regulatory matters. The agency in recent years has often dictated public discourse on a number of vital issues including terrorism, immigration, environmental issues, recycling and jobs. We are often called on by a wide range of clients to bring matters to the attention of Congress and the Administration.
