Davis & Company was born in 1976 when Jerry Davis left Lawler Ballard Advertising to start his own company. The young agency's first clients were Coca-Cola Bottling Company and Mellon Bank, which immediately provided the agency with broad market recognition and a ready list of potential clients.

The agency grew and prospered in the early days by winning accounts in financial services, retail, industrial products and commercial real estate. Expanded expertise within the firm presented new opportunities in health care, trade associations, issue advocacy, quick service restaurants and shopping centers.

The rapid economic growth of the eighties fueled the growth of Davis & Company at an even greater rate. Today the agency boasts over $35 million in annual capitalized billings, 28 full-time staffers and offices in Washington, D.C. and Virginia Beach, Virginia.
